To fix the world.
ABOUT ME
We have a love for political geekery and philosophical discussion. Our favourite activities include reading, attending local underground music performances, watching films in independent film houses, consuming social media and gorging on current events.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Being involved with participatory alternatives to the capitalistic exchange economy is important to us. We are very attracted to couch-surfing from a political angle, viewing it as one way that people can see and experience more of the world without actually participating in the tourism industry.
Although we definitely see the appeal for others, we're somewhat less interested in the socializing aspect of couch surfing. When we're travelling ourselves, we usually have a pretty full agenda, and are looking forward to spending time together (something that's somewhat of a rarity when we're not on vacation). When we're at home, we're always very busy working, going to school, and railing against the establishment. There's never much time to show people around.
That being said, we think we have a lot to offer the CS community. As guests, we're courteous and clean and rarely underfoot; as hosts, we're happy to give you the run of the place, a key to come and go, and tons of tips and suggestions for touring our fair city.
Please don't be shy to send us a request! We are looking forward to being part of this movement.
