ABOUT ME

I am a creative and imaginative software engineer/computer scientist/entrepreneur :) I can get as much fun from reading Wikipedia as from going out to drink with my friends, and I do both quite often. I enjoy singing for no good reason and dancing is always an option.

I have a passionate and unconventional wife Ragne and a cat called "Chicken", who usually hides under the couch. The other cat is called "Kafka" and she's the prettiest juvenile delinquent you've ever seen. I prefer sarcasm and irony to other types of humor and can never remember any internet jokes.

I travel a lot both for business and for fun. I've seen more hotels than I care to tell and I hate all of them. Couchsurfing is a great way to have a personal experience and meet cool new people. I enjoy both hosting and surfing.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is meaningless, death is inevitable, but does that necessarily have to be so damn depressing? :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love rereading books that I enjoy (and same thing goes to rewatching movies). Favorite genres include science fiction and fantasy, though I read a lot of contemporary fiction as well. Some good books I read recently: "Rainbows End", "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", "Sharing Knife", "Dune", "The Curious Incident with the Dog in the Nighttime". I also read a lot of Terry Pratchett's Discworld series when traveling.

I know a lot about IT in general and software development in particular. I also know quite a bit about startups, marketing and public performance. I could probably also teach you Texas Hold'Em poker, if you don't plan to win big...
