I think that each new person in your life brings something new to you, some new experience. Often new people become the teacher to you, even if they do not know it. That helps you to broaden the horizons. New people often means new friends. Couchsurfing means new friends all over the world, new knowledge about other countries, about its culture, language, about the habits, celebrations what people do, how do they live. It means to learn about the country much more than the usual tourist :)

I can not tell that I have the particular favorite kind of music as today I can listen to pop music, and tomorrow I will listen to rock music. My Favourite writer is Arthur Hailey and I really admire how precise he is in his books about each field of life and each job he describes. It seems that he had several lives and each of them he lived as a representative of a particular profession and then wrote a book about it :)
