About Me

CURRENT MISSION Traveling 3 months in Eastern Europe (Budapest, Cluj ...) from February to April. It's gonna be cold ! and spring time also !

Some informations about our house :
In the summer, the house is full with my "children" 21 and 19 years old, and their friends ; so it is difficult to receive more guests.
During the rest of the year, it may be possible to host. I don't surf, and I am not linked to the surf world, so I'd rather host people that are not coming to the South West to surf. I am more interested in people with concerns for the environment, social causes ...

iN ANY CASE / I hope everyone will be ok in his/her trip !

ABOUT ME

I lived abroad, then in Marseille... and I came back to my native region. I live now near the coast. I am involved in an association called "Possibles", "pour ouvrir de nouveaux possibles, plus solidaires et ecologiques". We opened for example a "shop" where everything is free. You take or bring what you want. I am also helping in Bayonne in "Pausa" : a place to receive people on the road, mainly young men coming from Africa.

I enjoy live music and I am also involved in a cultural organization. We bring great musicians to our local scene, and that's fun !

PHILOSOPHY

Etre audacieuse.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined the CS meetings in Pays Basque in 2010. I also enjoy to be in groups such as the one for Kurdistan (i's so nice to read the mail exchanges between travelers and natives ... makes me feel a bit like traveling too !) and when I travel I like to meet CS people, because there are usually great.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Bilbao was my first CS experience. Second experience, also great in Toulouse. And then we started receiving travelers in our house. It's enjoyable to get to know new people ... and at the same time it feels like we've known each other before because most of the relations are so simple and smooth !

Interests

Are they concrete alternativs to capitalism ? Ways of reminding autonomous in our consumption, in our exchanges, in our thoughts ? I am interested in all collective initiatives such as direct link between vegetables producers and consumers, free price, re-use of objects... And with my friends we try to make these actions more known !

Contempory Art (I love to visit museums). I like old industrial places, like in the ex soviet union. Check here the Tarnos beach (la digue) !

I enjoy going to the cinema... but no TV at home.
