About Me
CURRENT MISSION
étudiant étranger en France pour une année.
ABOUT ME
Likes: Finding pennies on the ground for my collection, sitting on the edges of cliffs, long walks in the rain, long conversations over cups of tea, getting the last berry scone for breakfast, receiving sunflowers, getting lost and wandering about, playing (or attempting to play) my accordion, cuddling with my one eared dog Vincent.
Dislikes: Croc shoes, over sized vehicles, obnoxious gum chewing, the acronym lol.
PHILOSOPHY
I don't know if I have ever thought about trying to put my personal philosophy into words before.. it almost feels like it is too much of an abstract to restrict to a few simple words.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment I am living in student housing, so my room is more like a broom closet than a living space and I regretfully can't host anyone at the moment in Rennes, but over the years I have had couches and beds available for people to use and would give people tours of whatever city I happened to be inhabiting at that point (I just didn't realize that there was a website to promote this..)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have yet to have a CouchSurfing sanctioned event, but in my years of couch surfing I have had some rather memorable passings. One of the better experiences I would say was when I was visiting my old haunt of Seattle with some friends from Montana where each night stopping by another old friend's place. The peak of this experience was taking my Montana friends to see the Can Can at Pike's Place, drunkenly wandering back to the U-District, camming onto a fold out fouton, and then when morning broke we wandered the residential section of the U-District until we came upon a nice little café and had the perfect breakfast.
Interests
I enjoy making art, listening to a wide selection of music, and watching movies with my favorite genres being sci-fi, film noir, and anything with a nice esthetic. I as well enjoy exploring. One of my favorite things to do is wander around for hours with a camera and sketchbook.

Music, Movies, and Books
I really listen, watch, and read a bit of everything. Not in the cliché backwards way of saying that I only like top 40, though. My music tastes started in punk rock, but at the moment I would say that I am trying to get a better understanding for jazz and opera. Also I have a passion for accordion music. With movies I enjoy thought provoking films as well as movies that have a really nice esthetic. I guess I would have to say that my favorite film is The Dreamers. My favorite book is Nausea by Jean-Paul Sartre. I enjoy nonfiction history books and classic litterature, but my personal goal has been to gain a better understanding of poetry.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
From fire dancing in the nude, attending SOAK and some of the best revivals of cabaret/burlesque on the west coast of the United States,to (my latest bizarre accomplishment) dancing on stage with Michael Cera and the rest of Mister Heavenly in a small club in France, I have done many fun things and have only come to accept that the best stories come from things that were never planned.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have taught art classes before and after working in different thrift stores over the years I am pretty darn good at antiquing. I as well know the basics of fire staff juggling.
