I am intrigued by both wonder and simplicity often discovering the majesty of how each can be so entwined with one another. Travelling is an opportunity to ever expand my own unintended ignorance, it's the experience that teaches perspective, not just tolerance but value.
I have been an abstract artist and trained singing opera so many years ago (though if you asked me to sing, it's been a long time and I may be rusty). I would refer to myself as an aristocratic hippie. I love beauty, intellect and quality, but I am not impressed by belongings or accolades but rather by the hearts and hands they choose to hold.
I believe life is an adventure if we are willing to take the risk of wonder. I am very faith oriented, but the Jesus I know in scripture or step often looks nothing like the things most people seem to think. What I know is the picture of radical love period. So in that it is my own, who I am, I don't need to make someone else look or be like me, I get to love people as they are. With that I have had the pleasure of meeting people from every walk of life from prostitute, transvestite, prisoner to politician. I have crossed paths with the excessively rich and excessively poor and found that ultimately money has absolutely nothing to do with wealth at all, it is a measure of heart and hope. No matter what status or lack there of someone has, the baseline is that everyone is looking to be loved, accepted and valued just as they are.
So that is what I have the blessing to be.
As for being hosted, I am clean, tidy, not a partier (in particular as I'm currently pregnant) though I love to dance. Nor do I smoke. I welcome input on local things to discover, preferably not the touristy stuff but what actually is inviting for the local livers. I also love to learn so teaching me something new is a wonderful gift!
