ABOUT ME

After a year at Sofia University, I embarked on a somewhat unusual experience, winning a competition organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Bulgaria, and being thus granted a 6 years' scholarship to study in Hungary, where I spend the best of my time, from 2004 to 2008 in dormitories meant primarily for foreign students, where I partly also worked as an organizer, and met hundreds of students from all around the world. I usually visit Varna, the city where I was born, only for the summer. I was to finish university in 2010 with a MA degree in Hungarian and Estonian philology as well as a teachers´qualification for teaching Hungarian at high schools,but haven't finished yet, teaching practice remaining after a series of bad decisions, and 4 months spent in Estonia with an Erasmus scholarship.I want to do a PhD course at Tartu University.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can acccomodate 2 /if needed, 3/ people in a separate room /separate rooms/ usually from the beginning of July until the end of August in Varna, Bulgaria.BuI t live with my parents, and after a negative experience with couchsurfers they are not willing to host other people for the time being. While abroad, I live in dormitories. which makes it more difficult, yet, not impossible to arrange.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Once a host, once a guest and once a tourist? Maybe. Rather a negative experience as a host and positive as a guest. And as a tourist...it is hard to express in words.

I definitely like Russian and Polish movies, but, as a whole, I rarely watch films.
After having listened almost exclusively to evergreens for years, I tried lots of things in my first years at high school, until I found the music for my soul - the so called black metal, as well as death metal, which always fills me with energy and will to work. But my favourite band is a Bulgarian one called Tangra, which initially played hard-rock, before evolving to a little bit retro-flavoured melodic rock at the beginning of the 80's and new-romantics in the mid 80's. Apart from extreme metal, I listen to all kinds of things I like, typically sad tracks.

Learnt to take cold water shower in midwinter?

I can teach the languages I speak well, and I want to learn some more about computers (primarily handling Ubuntu). Similarly, I would be very glad if I met somebody who would have the patience and talent to teach me how to use the guitar pick, because I still haven´t given up learning to play the bass.
