ABOUT ME

Hi my name is Elad, 29 at the moment but promise to change that in a while... Music is my first love, and wherever I go I take it with me, in my head and on my ipod. I play guitar, sometimes on the bass, used to have my band but it's dead now, so I probably won't be the next Thom Yorke. So instead I'm currently working on my master's thesis in environmental studies, specifically on electric cars. I've traveled south america and a bit of south east asia, and love the feeling of being on the road- everything looks and smells so different, no work or studying issues on my mind...

PHILOSOPHY

trying to figure out the world is impossible, and the only thing we can do to at least try, never stop exploring it and look for new ideas, thoughts, landscapes, sounds, scents and tastes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed couches in Europe, and had a couch surfing based road trip in the US 2 years ago, which was awesome. When I don't travel myself I'm very happy to host surfers at my place and show them around Tel aviv, where I was born and raised.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's been amazing meeting all these random people, especially in the states where I joined a surfer's ride from Cincinnati to the Burning Man, and the road trip was awesome!

Interests

When I was younger I was really into dinosaurs, but they're dead so... music pretty much makes my world go round and drives me, but so do photography, books (Bukowsky style is my favorite) and the beach.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most amazing experience I've had was during a dive in the Galapagos, in a site called rocas gordon, which is an imploded sunken volcano, when 2 gigantic manta rays came and swirled around me. it felt as if we were communicating, and something at this moment was really out of time... Oh, and the Burn(ing man), off course.
