Hello World this is Elaine from Hong Kong!

I am currently doing a PhD in freshwater ecology in Melbourne and have been studying natural science since I entered university back in Hong Kong, so anything about nature and conservation fits! In my free time I love hiking, climbing, wildlife watching, cooking and reading. I am also a good housekeeper as I love to keep things tidy! Cooking homemade dishes from HK may also give my host a taste of what we have in my hometown!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I first couchsurfed when I backpacked in Japan 10 years ago, and the amazing experience of meeting lovely people along my way during planned and unexpected encounters is still holding a special place in my heart! I have decided to include this in my solo trips whenever possible!

兴趣

Hiking, camping, climbing (I started bouldering and sports climbing not long ago and they are fun!!), cooking, reading, painting, bird / dragonfly-watching, music, tidying up my room, upcycling my old stuff, finding ways to live a "greener" life.:D
