*** I don't like copy-paste messages and I will not host you if you send me one. I think that if I take the time to host you, you can take the time to read my profile ;) . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udP4Pfi8LIw&feature=relmfu ***
Bonjour! I'm a people person. I'm quite talkative. I enjoy the present moment. I love to experience new activities, foods, etc. and I'm not afraid to try them. I'm opinionated but not close minded. People say I'm cheerful. I like sports and music very much. I'm very curious and I like to learn. I take very few pictures.
When I travel: I'm very interested to learn the history of the place, to learn the non touristic aspects! Visit museums, look at the architecture or just chill in a park and hear fun stories from locals. I also like to have a drink and party, even though it is not the main reason why I travel.
I'm a feminist, which means in a nutshell that I think that women and men are not, in facts, treated equally in our society, but face systemic inequality. And, well, I think that it's not fair and we should actively deconstruct and fight this social arrangement. Feminism goes from women sexualized representation, traditional gender roles and expectations, heteronormativity, racism and social exclusion, to the expression of masculinity (to name only a few things).
I try, in my own little ways, to initiate change. I'm doing my master thesis on sexual and reproductive health of immigrant Bolivian women living in Argentina. Also, I like to share about my views with interested and curious people. If you don't want to know more, that's fine too! However, if you think that feminism is crap, well we probably wouldn't get along very well.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I decided to join couchsurfing after hearing good friends that it was just a wonderful community. I really liked the concept too: to have the chance to meet local people is very important and unique when you travel. I also like to show a traveler how is Montreal and what are the non touristic fun aspects of the place.
Great! It enables me to meet wonderful people and gave me unique insight about the different cultures and countries I visited. It also permitted me to host people and have the pleasure to share with them the Québécois culture and to show them around Montréal.
In short, only positive things to say!
There are not many things that do not interest me. Like I said previsouly, I like sports very much, my favorite one being tae kwon do! :)
I really like exchanging music and book suggestions!
I like history and culture, so when I visit a new place it is something I very like to hear about. I am also very impressed by beautiful architecture, even though I don't have knowledge in the field.
I'm a chocoholic and a foodlover!I also like all kind of teas and cheeses. I like to cook and I absolutely like every kind of food: from tofu to steak, all vegetable and fruits, pastas, rice, fish... I doubt you can find something I don't truly enjoy.
I like to learn new languages or expressions from a language.
- womens rights
- hip-hop music
- cultural immersion
- ultimate frisbee
- latin american culture
Music, Movies, and Books
I always listen to music and I like various genres. I particularly like HIP-HOP, such as Nomadic Massive (awesome Montreal hip hop band that you should discover) Ana Tijoux, De La Soul, Lauryn Hill; reggae like Bob Marley and Tiken Jah Fakoly; old rock such as The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Janis Joplin others; soft rock such as Coldplay or the Killers; Quebecer music; popular music that passes on the radio; a bit of classical music since I played violin for a long time... so yeah I bunch of stuff!!
Books: I like to read any books in general, but I'm a fan of Harry Potter books, Anna Gavalda's books. I also really like many Quebecers authors such as Dominique Demers, Patrick Sénécal or Michel Tremblay.
Movie: I like to watch movie but I couldn't say which are my favourites.

Teach, Learn, Share
My first language is French and I would be glad to teach you some if you want! Also I lived in the province of Quebec, which has a different culture and history from the rest of Canada. I like to share my viewpoint on the subject and share with people the great culture that Quebec has.
I was also a taekwondo teacher so I can give you some self defense tips and techniques on how to do kicks!
I love to practice my español!! I also like to learn new expressions or words from other languages.
