MY CURRENT MISSION

Right now I'm going to start college, I'm entering the career of journalism, but I would like to start getting in touch with people from this community so when the time comes I'll have people to rely on, and of course they can always rely on me in case they want to come to Paraguay! Therefore I do not think I'll be leaving Paraguay anytime soon, but I want to get ready for when the time comes. That said, I welcome you to visit my country, and also if you want to travel to a neighbor country like Uruguay, Argentina, Brasil or Bolivia you can still get in touch with me (I know people living in those countries who would be more than happy to welcome you and help you.) And if the time is right and you don't feel like going by yourself, I could be a travel companion.

ABOUT ME

I was born in Bogotá, Colombia but raised in different countries. When I was 2 Y.O. we moved to Spain, and then at the age of 6 I came to live to Paraguay for the first time. Paraguay is the country where both my parents were born, and also my older brother, it's as well where my whole family resides. We stayed here until I turned 9, and then we went to Uruguay. We came back here in 2008 and I've been living here ever since.

We traveled a lot because of my father's job, and when my parents got divorce I stayed in Asunción, Paraguay with my mom. My dad went to Argentina and then New York, so I've been going back and forth for a while. Last time I spent six months in New York, and must I say I really liked there, but unfortunately I couldn't stay because of life.

Because of that life-style, the going and returning, I can't seem to stay in one place for a long time, and I am really anxious about going away again, and meet new people and new places and cultures. I believe that's what we should seek, to be constantly amazed and blown away by the novelty of things!

My goal is to get in touch with new cultures, to dive into new lifestyles. I want to meet, and know people from around the world, with different life experiences. To know their stories and their histories. To know what is like to be human in other country, to be loved in other country, to be lost and to be found in other country, to sleep and eat and dance in other country, to be welcome in other country. And most of all, I want to have fun and share great moments with great people!

I'm just gonna go ahead and make a list without explaining the whys and hows so you can ask me about it :D

- Making music, such as singing and writing songs, sometimes playing with garage band, because that's as far as my virtual music skills go.

- Cooking, experimenting with the culinary world, and of course eating, which is the best part.

- I love reading and writing, fictional stories, or my feelings/emotions.

- Volunteering work

- Learning and teaching languages

- I really enjoy staying in and watch movies or as many episodes as it is humanly possible of a serie.

- DANCING (though I don't think you could actually call what I do "dancing", but it's still fun)

There are so many things I like to do, or I have interest in, but I don't think I could put them all in this list. This is just an overview of the most obvious and evident things but there are a lot out there that have my total curiosity... And in the best of situations, my attention.

If I had to chose a book I would say that The Stranger by Albert Camus.
I also like a lot Stephen King's work.
I certainly like poetry: Charles Baudelaire, Victor Hugo, Paul Éluard, Federico García Lorca, Pablo Neruda, Julio Cortázar, and the list goes on!

The two movies I'll stick with are Pulp Fiction and Into the wild.

And when it comes to music my favorite bands are, Muse, Cage the elephant, Red hot chili peppers and The Rolling Stones.

Apart from this, I am very open-minded and I my taste reaches out to many other styles and genres of cinematography, music, and literature.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I once dived (in a cage) into an aquarium full of sharks. (They were not dangerous sharks nor really big sharks, but I still think it was pretty amazing)

Besides that, I watched form a very short distance, a colony of bats (big bats from the Cataratas de Iguazu) flying in circles and coming down to drink water from a pool, occasionally getting so close that my hair moved with the batting of its wings.
