Hi everyone! I'm Eleanor, but everyone calls me Ellie. I'm a classical singer, super friendly and very easy-going. I'm beginning postgraduate studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in September 2018, so I'm looking forward to enjoying the rest of the summer before my course begins.

I'm really excited to go interrailing this month. It will be my first time interrailing and also my first time travelling by myself, though I'm fortunate that my dad is able to join me when I'm in Basel (yay!).

I love hiking/walking in the great outdoors, and one of my favourite things to do is go skiing when I can (about once every 2 years).

Through my singing, I've been really fortunate to have travelled to places such as China, Hong Kong and Serbia. I think it's important that I keep discovering and seeing new places so that I can gain new perspectives on things and see the huge variety of culture out there is out there to be enjoyed.

I'm currently reading Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer. I'm not currently vegan or vegetarian, but I'm reading this book and watching documentaries about the meat and dairy industry so that I can make more informed food choices.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I absolutely love meeting new people and hearing people's life stories. I'm very open-minded and believe we all have something we can learn from someone if we're simply prepared to listen. I would love to connect with local people in the places that I'm visiting.
