ABOUT ME

I recently made the adult decision to quit my job so that I could travel, meet new people, and make art. I am creative, active, up for any adventure, and interested in learning new things! In the states I was a high school English and art teacher, but I will be traveling for the next few months and hope to be a full-time artist upon my return.

My old roommates used to host people on our couch but I am personally new to the site and the couch surfer experience!

Interests

I enjoy making art, and meeting other creative people. I love walking, hiking, and exploring new places. I am a vegetarian, and I like cooking with people and learning new recipes. I love to read, meet new people, visit art museums and recently I have been enjoying visiting mosques to look at the incredible tile-work inside. I can keep myself entertained but am always happy to spend the day exploring with somebody new.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked several days of the Lycian Way in southern Turkey--climbing in and out of valleys along the Mediterranean coast, through olive orchards, incredible beaches, and tiny villages--definitely need to come back to Turkey to finish the hike some day,
