About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Spread the doctrine of Altruistic Hedonism

ABOUT ME

I'm a lot more fun than you might think from my occupation, because of the unfair malignment which mathematicians suffer in the media. Most mathematicians are actually a lot of fun and only slightly insane. And usually in a good way. I love literature, theatre, cooking, travel, and going out. I will warn you, though - I'm an inveterate walker. Wear sensible shoes, because I think nothing of walking 5-10 km at a pop. I'm also a yogi, and I'd love to meet other yogis.

I'm also out and proud, so I'm always happy to meet LGBT travelers. I still don't know much about the scene here, but I'm glad to help you explore.

PHILOSOPHY

We are given this short life to spread as much joy as we can to as many people as we can. Everyone accomplishes this differently - I teach to make people's lives better - but we should never forget this. Always pursue joy...and it will always pursue you.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I developed software for NASA which operated a robotic drilling rig on missions in Spain and the Arctic. The goal was to develop a drill that we can send to Mars. Seeing it operate entirely by itself was pretty incredible.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about geometric topology, which is one of the most beautiful areas of mathematics. I can teach you how to cook. I can teach you basic Hebrew...and more as I learn it :)
