Hi there! My name’s Elena, I’m from Russia, Novosibirsk. In spite of the fact that it is Siberia you’ll hardly see any bears with balalaika on streets. Novosibirsk used to be an example of industrial city, because of the events during the World War II. Nowadays Novosibirsk is just the typical Russian city, with very changeable weather but kinda friendly people. I work in the Private Language School and teach children English language. As soon as i have a chance to travel somewhere i do it. Unfortunately, i can’t travel as much as I wanna do it. I usually travel with by boyfriend, we’re fond of discovering new places together. And also i like traveling with my friends, but it doesn’t happen often.

In my opinion Couchsurfing is the best way to help people in their journeys. You can share your knowledge about the city you live with many people and also you can find friends from different corners of the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I adore listening to music and watching different TV series or films. So i think we’ll find the topic to speak about absolutely easy. Also i used to read a lot of books, but now i haven’t got much time to do that, and it’s sad.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think that it is awesome that i can teach children and see their progress, not every person can find the right way to children’s heart and work in such emotional sphere as teaching.

Teach, Learn, Share

I really like the phrase: “Teaching is learning twice”, so we can easily exchange the knowledge in English. Or we can do the routine things together such as cooking, talking and share our cultural experience.
