My name is Elena and I am a student from Germany, adventurous and outgoing traveler, passionate writer, hobby-photographer, nature and extreme-sport-lover, environment and human rights activist.
To me traveling has become a passion: It isn't just about seeing landmarks and sampling regional cuisine. It means diving into a new culture head first. It is about the people we meet and the experiences we encounter.
We should all regard the world as our classroom; traveling teaches us more than we could ever expect to learn in the comfort of our homes. We just have to be ready and willing to let it happen.

Couchsurfing provides the unique opportunity to stay with locals in every country on earth, learn about a new culture first-hand, and make new friends from all over the world. I am eager to share my experiences with the people I encounter as a way to foster cultural exchange and mutual respect.

After traveling Asia for about 8 months, I have now moved to Berlin in order to do my studies here and I am more than willing to host people in the lovely capital of Germany.
