HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I had hosted many foreigners before I became a registered couch surfer. I lived in Vologda , Russia, at that time. Now I changed the city and live in Pskov, Russia, but my will to meet and host of different cultures and countries is the same. I believe in friendship and open hearted people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first surfer who confirmed his staying at my place was an Italian guy. May be, he is a great person, but he didn't appear as it was agreed between us. I learned later that he stayed with another person. That's OK. But I think that he should have informed me beforehand that he was not coming. I have adjusted my family plans for him, cooked some special meal and so on, and that was done in vain.
But in all the rest cases, I am very happy with all the people I have met through CS while hosting and visiting. :-) I enjoyed communicating with each person and appreciate their openning their hearts and homes to me and introducing their culture and experience from the first hands.

Important: For me Couchsurfing is a Cross-Cultural Communication thing, not just the free accommodation. I would like to meet people who would like to meet me, to talk and share cultures and way of life, people who care to give me some reason to do so through their profile accordingly completed. So if people don't care to spend time for providing the hosts with information about themselevs, I am sorry to say, but I don't see reasons to deal with such people.

兴趣

I love travelling, exploring new places and meeting new people. I love sports, especially games with a ball (basketball,volleyball, table tennis, billiard, bowling). I would like to try playing golf. Also I love water activities (swimming, boating) and bike riding.
I love various hand-made activities and recently started oil-painting.
I love listening to music (it can be of various types depending on my mood a certain time) and dancing.
I like reading and watching good movies.
I love arranging creative projects with a group of co-minders.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I was happy to participate in Sochi Paralympic Games 2014 as a volunteer. Terrific and unforgettable experience! Amazing, strongest people from all over the world!

Paragliding in Cyprus - that's what I have done once and would like to repeat it very much!

Plitvice lakes in Croatia is an astonishing place to see! There are 16 natural lakes and about 8 km of pathways around lakes. The color of lakes ranges from green to blue and the water is so pure and transparent!Beautiful lakes, waterfalls, forests and rock are breathtaking!

Visiting the Grand Canyon in Arizona also impressed me immensely!
