ABOUT ME

I'm trying to make the best out of life by staying curios, open minded and enjoying all the good things that come along.
I grew up in Romania, lived for some years in France and I don't exclude the possibility of living in yet another country in the future. I would say I'm European if you ask me where I'm from and I'm happy to be a citizen of this world.

PHILOSOPHY

The idea of karma is getting somehow closer to me, so I try to respect that by respecting me and others around me. In a constant process of questioning what, when and where and most importantly how and why.

I would like to host people every once in a while in my flat in Bucharest if we feel we have common interests

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started couchsurfing while in France, hosting people every few months, and also stayed over in other countries, while on holidays. It was the chance to meet people in Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Malta, Japan, and even Romania.

Interests

Travelling, litterature, writing, going to local markets, cooking, cinema and photography.
Foreign languages and most importantly the people and cultures associated with them.
Hiking, swimming and snorkelling when my fear of water is not around, and I'm pretty sure I'll love to cycle when I'll be able to do it .

Music, Movies, and Books

I would start out by saying that I'm more a books and movies person. I have a strange relationship with music, I really enjoy it sometimes, but it can happen that I don't listen to anything for weeks and I'm ok with that. Other than that I'm voiceless (??) and I have no memory what so ever for singers, groups, albums...

Movies directors I enjoy: French nouvelle vague (Jean-Luc Godard, François Truffaut, Eric Rohmer), Bertrand Blier, Abdellatif Kechiche, Hayao Miyazaki, John Cassavetes, Federico Fellini, Wes Anderson, Romanian nouvelle vague (Cristian Mungiu, Cristi Puiu, Corneliu Porumboiu).

I find it hard to make lists and I won't even try to do that for books. Will stop here, but I'm willing to talk about all this in person :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Drifting snorkelling in Nusa Lembongan, a small island near Bali, Indonesia. Being in this amazing aquarium, mesmerised and a bit worried at the same time (the current was really strong and I'm afraid of deep water).
Climbing la Montagne Pelée in Martinique island, an active volcano (not smoking though at the time of the climb)

Teach, Learn, Share

I really enjoy cooking, so I would love to be able to share that and learn new recipes from people I met. But I really love eating out too, so no pressure :-)
I can talk about my experience with yoga if the person in front is willing yo listen.
