Hi, I’m Elfi from Taiwan, urrently in my second year of university, studying industrial engineering and finance. I’m a curious and adventurous person who loves trying new things and meeting new people. I’m the buddy for exchange students in my university, so I have so many friends around the world, especially in Europe. I learn so much from them and crave for more connections with people in other countries.

So far, I’ve visited 16 countries and traveled solo twice in three Asian countries. After these solo trips, I realized that traveling is an excellent way to meet interesting people and learn about different cultures. It also teaches me valuable life skills and knowledge, making me more confident and empowered.

I find joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as late-night conversations, cooking together, exploring new places, and sharing laughs over cultural misunderstandings. I’m friendly, respectful, and always eager to learn something new, whether it’s a recipe, a local tradition, or just your favorite spot in town.

I’m passionate about fashion, photography, videography, and design. I enjoy various sports, such as gym, surfing, and basketball. I’d love to meet people who share my passion, want to discover hidden gems in the places or just create some beautiful memories together!!!

I’m a budget traveler, I had many good times in hostels and met some great people as well. But I feel like I didn’t really meet locals, explore hidden spots and learn traditional culture. Therefore, I want to try something new– couchsurfing!!! It offers me the chance to meet people who can show me their world and build deeper connections.
I can’t wait to see what it can bring me more!!!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Spending a year as an exchange student in Germany was one of the most life-changing experiences I’ve had.
Living with host families going to school, and adapting to a completely different culture weren’t always easy—there were moments I felt lost or homesick—but those challenges taught me how to be independent, open-minded, and flexible.
I went there not knowing much German, but by the end of the year, I was able to understand most of the conversations and communicate. I also made lifelong friends, explored many countries, and learned to see the world from a completely different perspective. It’s an experience I’ll always be grateful for.

Fashion: I’ve watched many videos about styling online to develop my own system. And my friends always say I have good taste. So I can give you some tips for sure!!! Let’s be stylish together.

Cook: I enjoy cooking a lot, I would love to show you Taiwanese cuisine. Also we can exchange our recipes.

Chinese: If you want to learn Chinese, I would love to help you because it’s my native language :)
