My name is Elfia. I like my hometown St. Petersburg very much. It is interesting to walk along its streets and admiring the beautiful city views. But even more I like to travel. I have visited more than 65 countries. I don’t have a goal to visit all the countries of the world, I would rather visit all the most interesting and beautiful places. The more unusual the place, different from my homeland, the more interesting it is to me. When traveling, I want to not only see famous sights, but also try to get to know the life of local residents.

I joined couchsurfing because it expands my travel options and allows me to get better acquainted with life in other countries. I want to get to know local people more, talk with them about their country and other topics of interest to everyone.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I went as a volunteer to the nature reserve on Kuril Lake in Kamchatka. I spent more than a month there, helping prepare food for cordon inspectors and scientists studying the life of bears. The cordon was in a hard-to-reach place; it was only possible to get there by helicopter. Every day I could observe very closely many bears who were keen on catching spawning sockeye salmon.
