Hello! I am a 22 year old native of Birmingham, Alabama, in the United States. I recently graduated from college in the great state of California. Now I am traveling the world for one year with the help of a research grant from The Watson Foundation. I am studying the politics of technology. I hope to see how life online shapes our understanding of the world around us. My exploration has taken me all over India, Nepal, and Myanmar! Now I am leaving Asia to continue my travels in Europe. I hope to see Spain, Germany, Sweden, and Estonia while I am here!

When I am not studying, I try to get outside. I am an avid hiker, biker, and rock climber. If you do any outdoor activity, I would happily take your all of your recommendations!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Solo traveling for a year is not easy! Especially because it's my first time! Of course, I'm on couch surfing to save money (to make those travels last longer!), but also to meet like-minded people from across the globe. By the time this year is up, I'll have made friends from three of five continents. Growing up, I never thought this would happen.

When my travels come to an end, I hope all the wonderful people I've met will come visit me at my new home in the United States, and that I can help out the next batch of world travelers!
