My name is Elizabeth Carpio, I'm a nature lover and everything that surrounds it. Traveling is the passion that drives me towards the unknown. Waking up with a different scenario every morning. Admiring endless cultures and ethnicities.
I am a Venezuelan who misses a country that no longer exists. But I believe it will some day.
To tell you the truth I am an extreme sports wanna be, however my lack of coordination, prevents me from pursuing this passion!!!
Happiness lies in the simplicity and beauty of life. Everything is very easy, but we tend to create barriers along the way, excuses that complicate simplicity and authenticity!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I truly believe that traveling should be as rustic as posible. staying at homes enables the traveler to experience rich and cultivating moments. the quality of the trip does not rely on the amount of money people spend on the commodities and luxuries of the trip; it relies on the contact with people. to immerse yourself in a country and truly understand what traveling means, you have to see the country through the natives eyes. Breath the air, smell the food, sense every detail that makes traveling so mesmerizing. This is why i truly believe that staying at homes is indispensable to a global and enriching experience. traveling is a journey that starts from the authenticity and humility of the people, and staying at homes provides those qualities.

Interests

I'm still trying to figure out what my passions and goals in life are. I still have a lot of gaps to fill in and peaces to place. But I do know what I like.

I truly love my country, even though it has fallen into a vicious cycle without control or breaks.

I truly love Watching movies, classics, fiction, chick flicks, mind blowing and not so mind blowing.

I love spending time with friends. We are meant to stay together even if we are half a world away, our bond does not believe in time our space.

I love writing, about everything and nothing, i write and write and write, just to drain what i can not expres in words.

I love animals, all of them (it's kind of a disease) I love the ones that crawl, the ones that jump, the ones with four, six and even eight legs, i love the ones who are hairy and fluffy but i also enjoy watching the slimy ones make their way through the floor.

I love being clumsy, distracted, spaced out, care free and curious (even though the majority of the time is a pain in the ass) there are moments where i'm siting on a bench at a park, and my distraction, imagination, space outness ( I dont even think thats a word) and all my care free qualities take over my sencess. and instead of siting at a bench on a parck i sit at a world filed with different creatures, a place that sounds like a bethoven simphony, where the air whispers in your eairs and the trees start talking. ( I promise I'm not a psycho) but i just see the world differently.

I truly truly love, helping people. Going to humble places where people in need abound , makes me feel this sense of responsability that can not be ignored. Because when i see kids in the streets I don't see strangers, I see me in them, I see my sister, I see and brother and I even see my cousins and neighbours. and if everyone in this planet would have had the opportunities that i've had, then the world wouldn't be as injust as is it. And the good news is that helping people is not even a burden, it is the most greatifing and self rewarding feeling in the world. and painting a smile in a kid's face has no monetary price.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lets start by saying this, i hate reading, i wish i didn't, but i do. as soon as i open the cover; so many thoughts invade my empty head that it becomes physically and psychologically impossible for me to finish a book.

My favorite movies would be, shutter island, Blood diamond, Shawshank redemption, Dallas Buyer Club, Requiem for a dream, Catch me if you can, pirates of the caribbean, The pursuit of Happiness, tangled, and so many more that i cant think of right now.

Favorite Music bands would have to be: two door cinema club, naked and famous, mumfords and sons, Ben Howards, Bon Iver, Deptford Goth, James Blake, alt J, Passion pit. and so so so many other groups that i cant think of right

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
