ABOUT ME

A kind and open-minded Midwesterner with a passion for human interaction. A musician and catalyst for positive change. An educator whose experiences have opened many fortunate connections and whose community is strong and progressive. Eli is making connections and building a life focused on education and activism through creative expression and connection.

Interests

I am stimulated by the magic of human interaction, by the intricacies of the creative process and by a hunger for the skills and tools to continue growing in all ways possible. Music, adventures, conversations, farming (love/food cultivation), eating, dreaming and exploring are the primary attention grabbers. I am a third-year student at Willamette University where I study anthropology, digital media/audio production and German. I was born in Minneapolis, MN in 1991, the third son of Nina and Eric Utne, founders of the City of Lakes Waldorf School and the Utne Reader magazine. My family and friends motivate me to explore my passions of music and education, and I am interested in becoming an elementary/middle school teacher in a couple of years.
