About Me

Smiley, cheerful, Italian.
Proud of my origins but completely openminded on new experiences.
I recently started a new chapter of my life; in the spring of 2014 I travelled for the first time alone abroad...and I couldn't stop. In few months I've visited more countries and foreign cities than in the previous 24 years of my life.

I love to meet new people, new cultures and share ideas. I stopped saying "no" and "maybe" and suddenly started to live again, making new experiences and taking every opportunity that would be laid on the table. In my erasmus in Norway I tried many different things that I would have probably not even considered few years ago.

I just came back from my Erasmus in Norway, shaking off the weird feeling about being back I'm trying to plan my next steps.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It was Norway, baby!
Joking aside, I've heard of couchsurfing months ago but as a newbie traveler I only went around in the "classical", easy-lazy way, not that much different that going in vacation with your parents.
Now I've heard incredible stories from my new Erasmus-friends and I realized...why not? I feel like I've missed something so far, but fortunately it's never too late!

Interests

My greatest hobby is slacklining, I love the idea of balance: to make any step you need to lose balance and then find it again.
I find it a personal, inward-looking process.

On the other hand I love to socialize: dancing, joking around and having fun at parties is part of me.

Food! How cannot be it? I love cooking and let people try my italian recipes.
Even if I'm often playing the part of the purist-Italianfoodisthebest guy, I actually love to taste any kind of food: chinese, japanese, mexican or simple american burgers...the fascination for cooking has no borders.

Recentely I've also found particularly amusing sports as bouldering and cross-country skiing; I hope to keep them on also once I'll be back in Italy.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like any kind of music and a very wide range of movies too! My favourite director is Stanley Kubrick.
I love reading; on my bedside table right now you can find:
* Stephen Hawking - A brief history of time
* Ken Follet - La caduta dei giganti
* Sun Tzu - The art of war

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bathed in the 3°C water of Trondheimsfjord, last January.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to *teach and spread the slackline philosophy; the first steps are usually quite hard, making people to love or hate it...but keep on trying and you'll find a sort of calmness, a steady-state in you that is far more fulfilling than reaching the other side of the rope.

I've also tought some italian recipes to my foreign friends, pizza and homemade pasta of course, and I'm eager to *share this "knowledge".

*Learn languages. Sometimes I find hard to express myself, I need more practice and more often, but I don't give up the enthusiasm in learning something new.
