Howdy, I'm Elias Esparza!
I am a recent Industrial Engineering graduate from Texas AM University and I am a proud Texan!

After working several months as a engineer for a pharmaceutical company I came to an impasse in my life and I decided to go after my dream of exploring Europe while figuring out what I want in life.

I am naturally curious, nerdy and quiet but once I open up I am pretty cool to be around.
I am also fairly ambitious and meticulous; once you see my travel schedule you understand how much ;)
I would say I am pretty clean and mature for my age and I am definitely not a party animal or heavy drinker.
But, I do know how to responsibly have a good time and how to take care of others because of my time as a college "Dorm Dad" when I was a Resident Advisor.

Some of favorite things to do in new places is to check out the sights, museums, local food and beer!
I love to jog, bike, hike, fix/detail cars, listen to music, see movies, play video games and go to museums.

Overall, I think I am pretty easygoing and just a regular 20 something trying to figure himself out while doing something he loves.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of my greatest loves in life is travel and I have dreamed about traveling across Europe for years.
I got my first taste of Europe on trips to England, Scotland, France and Germany and I am hungry for more.
I finally have the ability and drive to go after my dream but, I don't want to do it alone or just touristy thing all the time. Also, saving a few $$$ along the way also wouldn't hurt :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My team and I won the Texas Statewide Social Studies (History) academic competition on US Presidential history where I had to memorize thousands of facts, a 500 page book and be able to write about it from memory.

Because of this I knew history pretty well and I wrote that Trump was going to be the Republican Candidate in 2015 on a SAT Written Paper (US University Entrance Exam) a whole year before it happened. I got a terrible score but I was unfortunately right :{

I am an engineer so I love diagnosing and solving problems that you might need help with.

I am an open book and love to learn from others, especially local customs, language and experiences.

My life experiences, time and company. I will be traveling fairly light so there is not much I could physically share but if you need some extra help to do something around your place I'd love to help! I always strive to leave someplace in a better state than how I found it.
