About Me

Hi there! A Rhinelander at heart, I'm always outgoing, always outspoken, and never outwitted. There's always time for a joke and a laugh! If you're looking for someone to discuss anything ranging from chaos theory to contemporary fashion trends, I'm your guy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Everybody has a story to tell. Why don't you tell me yours?

Interests

More than anything else, I love trying new things all the time. As a result, my hobbies are all over the place and change rather frequently. Some of the ones that stuck are:

- Running, as it's a great way to shut out the world for a while. On a sunny day, nothing can keep me inside. Also, I'll never forget the day I thought running on snow-covered, icy pathways was a good idea.

- Reading, because sometimes you want to discover the world without leaving the house.

- Cooking - as I said, I like discovering new things. What easier way is there to do that than turning a daily chore into an art? Plus, cooking with friends is simply awesome.

- Volunteering: one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had. Knowing you're making a difference is invaluable.

- Juggling: if you ever feel the need to laugh at your own clumsiness, pick up juggling. I've just begun and still suck at it, but I'm absolutely determined to become the greatest juggler of all times and catch 'em all!

- Learning languages: with every language you pick up, it's like you're delving into a completely new mindset. History, customs, relationships, mentalities - all of these leave subtle differences in the way languages work and construct their words. Totally exciting.

- Gaming: from the first time I played Tetris on a Gameboy on, video games were absolutely fascinating to me. They are a medium as versatile and expressive as few others.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: basically everything but Country and generic E-Pop. Garage Rock, Alternative, New Metal, Indie, Hip Hop, Modern Classical & Orchestral Music, D'n'B, Trap, you name it. Also always open to new suggestions.

Books: The Picture of Dorian Gray, Bartimaeus, The Night Watch, The Discworld Novels, Nietzsche's writings, The Enchiridion, Thinking, fast and slow.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Building a network of honorary tutors for families who couldn't afford private tuition for their kids.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've taught a bit of stuff, learned a lot more and I absolutely love sharing whatever it is that is currently capturing my interest.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food, discussions, laughs and bunch over bunch of highly interesting and totally irrelevant facts. Also, pictures of cats and space nebulae, if requested.
