My name is Elias Vetter I am 31 years old and grew up in Switzerland. I have been travelling since January 2019. I started in Iceland where I lived two months on a dairy farm. Now I am in North America. I live in my truck and enjoy the freedom of my road trip. I love nature, I love camping and I am a passionate nature photographer.
My goal is to drive all the way to South America. I don't have a fixed period. I let myself be surprised how fast or slow I progress.
I love cooking, hiking, mountaineering, climbing or driving Packraft in nature. But I also like it cosy. I love big campfires.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

From time to time I like to be in a house again and am happy about the contact with people. That's why I'm with Couchsurfing. Especially in the cold winter time in Alaska and Canada it is very nice to be able to sleep in a warm house from time to time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To get from Europe to America I drove with a 300 meter long container ship from Hamburg to New York. The crossing took two weeks. I was lucky the sea was calm. there were no big storms. It was a unique experience to be on the sea for so long and not to see a piece of land.
