Overview
About Me
I'm a curious, open-minded, and easy-going person who loves meeting people from different backgrounds and ways of life. I usually travel low-cost and backpacking style, with my ukulele by my side and a big desire to connect, learn, and share.
I'm a Geological Engineer and I have worked in research and development for water treatment, both in rural communities and in mining. I’m passionate about solutions that make a real impact.
I’m a bit of a nerd (in the best possible way), and I love deep conversations, laughing, and enjoying a good glass of wine or tea. I also make music with my ukulele — it’s a great way to break the ice and spread some joy.
I travel to learn — not just to see new places, but to really understand cultures, languages, and local knowledge.
Whether I'm hosting or being hosted, I bring a respectful attitude, a helping hand, and a genuine interest in meaningful human connections. I believe the best travel experiences come from sharing everyday life with others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A friend introduced me to Couchsurfing, so I decided to give it a try!
I met a German traveler back in 2019 and had a great time — it made me realize how powerful cultural exchange can be. I think the best way to explore a city is by connecting with the people who actually live there.
I activated my profile again in 2025 to connect with new people in Europe to learn the daily life of each city. It was a wonderful experience.

Pop, country, folk, rock. The list is really long.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I rented a car I drove alone few days through the Atacama desert (the driest desert of the world)
Teach, Learn, Share
I’m always open to learning about different customs and adapting to local ways of life. For me, getting to know a new city through its people is the best way to experience it. One of the first things I seek is to learn—or at least try to learn—the local language, as I believe it's key to connecting with the culture.
I can teach guitar and ukulele, as well as Spanish, being a native speaker. I love sharing my experiences, especially those related to South America, and I’m happy to exchange stories and learn from others’ perspectives.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm not the best chef, but I’m definitely willing to give it a try! Wine and tea are included.
I love engaging in conversations and sharing experiences from South America. I know a fair bit about Chile’s history and would love to share that. I also play guitar and a little bit of ukulele.
Since I’m a native Spanish speaker, I can help with language exchange and share my knowledge of the Spanish language.
I'm also a big fan of cleanliness and order, so I’m happy to help with chores and gardening. Plus, I know how to make balloon animals (globoflexia) to entertain kids!
