About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm going to live in Bordeaux for 5 months, I aim at enjoying it:)
ABOUT ME
Well it's the hardest part: I'm trying to keep myself away from being someone pragmatic, ambitious and reputation oriented. Actually that depicts the typology that I find irritating:) so the reverse of it means being someone nice and agreeable!
I try to learn something new from each place I go, each people I know and keep my curiosity vivid:)Other than those I don't have any big claim nor a complete sentence which follows the subject "I" because I'm still young and "becoming" someone.
PHILOSOPHY
I live to embrace the life with its all aspects; so even tragedies are welcome-but having said this I should make a remark. "To accept the pain" is not mazochism, it's not having pleasure out of pain. On the contrary "tragedy is accepted, too!" is a claim that can only be done by a person who is full of life. So; hmm I guess I'm full of life:))
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Ok; first a great person and incredible friend of mine; Banu Karakas informed me about this project. I really trust her with any subject; so from the very first time I thought this idea is really cool. Then another friend of mine let me help two couchsurfers from france-I wasn't a member yet at that time; it was really nice to meet them, having a dinner together; and I also felt released as they did when we found a solution for their "host" problem and so I started to be involved in the project little by little; then a few weeks later I created my profile. And while living in Bordeaux I met really nice couchsurfers during the meetings and organizations of couchsurfing. So it's a looooong story as you see:)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
besides what I have written at the "how I participate part" we can count the monthly meetings of couchsurfing at bordeaux; and the some nice organizations like nuit defendue; les portes ouvertes à portets et langon... some of the people that I met during those activities turned into very special friends to me...
then for the first time I was officially a "host" for sandy who was coming from Switzerland for Kiteboarding and we really enjoyed together
then with another friend of mine who was much more experienced in couchsurfing tought me the spirit of CS we traveled in Toulouse; Montpellier and Marseille...
then this winter before the new years eve I stayed in Paris with a couchsurfer- but actually it was only one night so long story short, I will say each time I discovered and experienced a new thing with couchsurfing and I'll continue like that:)
Interests
I love and enjoy literature, philosophy, photography, and of course travelling in general! Besides that though I have to accept that I'm not gifted for learning languages, I don't know but I really love to speak French and English with someone who likes to speak those languages, or I like to try learn some basic words from someone who speaks another language like Italian; Arabic or German. I guess it's that modest spirit of being "amateur" in something; like imagine you try to prononciate a word or to learn an idiom. you can't achieve for the first time and it's you usually fun:) then you try for a second time; hmmm it's much more better; then little by little you start to keep it in my mind which feels so nice that maybe one reason for "how I became a couchsurfer" story:)

Music, Movies, and Books
Before mentioning the name of the book or the movie I'd prefer to mention to the name of the creator,
Poetry! it's hard to keep the "feeling" of poetry in translation that's why I prefer to read it in Turkish in my mother tongue, if those names will say something well I'd like to write Cemal Sureya at the top of the list; and continue with Edip Cansever; Turgut Uyar and Nazim Hikmet.
Marquez! I can read over and over and with pleasure something written by him... Till the time I read Hundred Years of Solitude; at the age of 16, I was dreaming to become I writer then I found the book; finished it in a couple of days; I was burst in to cry it was a real emotional and intellectual turmoil for me then I said to myself: forget about being a writer; what else can be written after that and better than that?
Dosteyevski; well I know you'll say "which kind of idiot prefer something else to Crime and Punishment or Karamazow Brothers in his literature." That's me actually The Notes From Underground is something crucial in my life,
Stories of Edgar Ellan Poe and those of Borges made me thought about the meaning of the word "witty"
Durenmatt and Rilke I want to learn German as soon as possible and with an incredible speed to be able to read the "die Panne" of Durenmatt and the Sonnets à Orphée- the Sonnets for Orpheus of Rilke,
I feel myself obliged to write the Metomorphosis of Kafka- no trying to be seem fancy is not the reason; hehe. To be honest; if I happened to move far away from Turkey and for a long time- let's say more than a year or someting... sure I'd need to put some books in my luggage some books that I've read and taken notes on some pages; and sure I'd have to keep a limit. The Methamorphosis wouldn't be one of those books, somehow I didn't feel the way I felt when I read those names above yet it was a shocking experience; it sure developped something in my reading filters:))
so as you seee I may continue to speak days and days for this box; movies; books; films and so on... let's make a deal: either you'll host me or I'll host you so we will hqve enough time to talk about this serious subject, ok?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ok! Thanks Couchsurfing now I really feel myself old and boring!!!
Teach, Learn, Share

and one subject that I can't be humble:) if you interested in learning turkish or practising it; well I'm here:))
I'd like to learn:
German, reading German; speaking German; understanding German!!!
Drawing and Painting,
Driving: I stilll don't have driving licence and I'm really so stressed because of that question: "what if I never achieved to do it?"
