I just finished up graduate school at the University of Kansas in May 2014 and I'm trying to get my head straight and learn how to make a living as an artist. Because that certainly doesn't always pay well I'm also an adept handyman and a small-time jeweler. I consider myself an entrepreneur because I don't have much other choice, that's the only way to make art work.

My personality is energetic but also thoughtful. I can come off as slightly introverted on first meeting, but I have found that most people warm up to me because I am sincere, I also have a passion for being helpful, so if you take me in I will certainly do my share of cooking, cleaning and fixing this and that if the tools are around.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I got on couch-surfing in 2009 when I was traveling after undergrad. I haven't used it much since then, but all my experiences abroad were good. Because I'm on the move again after getting out of school for the 2nd time now, I'm updating my profile and getting back in the game. While I have never hosted, if I find myself in a stable enough place that I can, I would like to, meeting strangers is always a learning experience.

兴趣

I spend a lot of my time cooking, working, reading and running. But I don't deny the occasional need to loose myself, although as I grow older I find I'm a little more docile than I once was. I spend a lot of time thinking about art, as art is the general goal. Recently I found a box VHS tapes by the side of the road, many of them were home videos, I converted them to digital and am now in the process of making art out the early 90s lives of a bunch of Kansans.

I have a lot of fairly definite thoughts about the way life is and I'm always glad to have serious conversations about your problems, although I'm not a licensed therapist...
