Hey Im Elimelec, Im from Puerto Rico and I just finished college with a bachelor's on Occidental Art History and Fine arts in Photography. Ive lived all my life on a tropical island of the caribbean sea and for that I love going to the beach, hiking and going to water bodies like rivers, waterfalls etc. Also I've been involved from a very young age to the art. I've been to art school, organized art exhibits and went to some amazing museums. Basically all my life ive been involved with nature and the arts, and I love them both. As for me, im a pretty nice guy. I can talk about any topic and im full of "fun facts". Also I've been doing photography since 2012 and been a graphic designer prior to that since 2009 approximately.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im on Couchsurfing because right after graduating college i will go on the biggest adventure of my life so far, I will make my first Eurotrip. This is kinda of a big deal since I come from a very modest household and all my college years have been sort of an economic struggle. But I've been studying art history for a long time and many of the greatest art pieces are in european museums without mentioning the architecture each country has to offer. Theres many reasons im taking this trip. Im on here because I want to really know the culture and also maximize all the money that for more than two years Ive been saving. I really want to make friends abroad and know their culture first hand. That are some of the reasons im decided to try couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

With my music im very diversified. In general I listen to electronic music with some beats. But also can appreciate classical music and brazilian music such as Samba and Bossa Nova. Also for being from Puerto Rico im very knowledgable on reggaeton artists and lyrics.
Movies are even more diversified. I loved the harry potter saga. Sci-fi movies and a lot of netflix series such as house of cards, orange is the new black, sens8 and more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I did was to organize the first representation of my university campus on the Pride parade this year. It was wonderful on so many levels! Also Ive organized two art exhibits, one was called Urbe Natura two artists at a gallery on campus and the other was called Corpus, on the Museum of Contemporary Art of Puerto Rico. Also this past year one of my photographs was shown at a gallery in Budapest.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach spanish or a little bit of english. Also been doing photography since 2012 so I can give you a class or some tips to work the camera. I study Art history so Im great as a tour guide at museums. Im full of fun facts about art.
