ABOUT ME

I am a cheerful girl from Austria but to be honest I don't feel like belonging to a particular country.
Finished my study in social work and went abroad to Scotland to volunteer there for 6 months. At the moment I am travelling in Portugal :) I'd love to discover the world and get to know as many cultures and people as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would describe myself as a free-spirited girl who is motivated to make new experiences and explore a lot of new places. When I travel a country I don't want to see the typical touristic places and monuments.. I want to meet local people, eat in hidden places, dance in grubby bars, have real conversations, drink cheap wine and laugh a lot. I love to read, listening to all kind of music, being in the nature and I especially love animals (:

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stuck with a rental car for two hours in the sand in Iceland. I was there with a friend and we were both desperate. Then we got help from two people from France, one guy from Australia and two other people from Alaska. After we pulled the car out of the sand we went to a bar and talked for hours about our lives and cultures. One year later the Australian guy visited us in Austria which was really amazing.

And I bathed with elephants in a rescue camp in Thailand. Bathing and playing in the mood with this majestic animals was just wonderful.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can make some Kaiserschmarren or Schnitzel together. Or we just share impressions and experiences (:
