The dry description - I'm a biologist, who works in fish-resource-researching field, but my other biggest part of life is connected with traditional singing and folklore.

The deeper description - I agree with the concept of less(zero)-waste, don't have strong religious principles and actually don't have many prejudices (because, everyone has at least some). At first I might seem shy, but give me a good topic or nice wine and I might even talk for hours. When I'm travelling, I usually get extra-energy and want to visit many places, and take everything that I can from the journey.

I think that by connecting with people of the country that you're visiting, you can learn much more about the culture of the particular country, than by doing it completely by yourself. Local people can be great help to orientate in the place that you're visiting or to find the best objects worth seeing, or things to try out. I think that every time I meet and befriend another person I get a new adventure to happily remember later. Also, as a student, I like to think about ways to reduce costs when travelling :)

Till now I've done it without couchsurfing profile, but I knew the time of me also making one, was coming closer and closer.

Unfortunately, for now I live in a very small apartment with a loud rabbit, who likes to wake up with sunrise, so I can't host anyone, but I can help with understanding transport or other confusing things in Rīga and recommend nice things to do or places to visit.
