Latvian girl living in Latvia, studying in Latvia and enjoying my life. My name is Elīna and I am 20 years old. Recently graduated from high school and could not put myself together, that is how I ended having a gap year. Boom. End of the story. That is what I thought at the beginning, but it was nothing like that and I would do this all over again! Got to know me better, got to participate in amazing events, started slacklining, did a lot of European Youth Parliament stuff, in the end I do not have much free time during summer but that is rather awesome to have so many amazing opportunities - one being travelling!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

From time to time I like to travel and it is nice to meet new people, explore the city together or on my own, share stories. I do believe that Couchsurfing is all about meeting new people, experience nice moments together, sharing stories and creating this open-minded community which is not closed at all :)

Intereses

I have a lot of interests, as we all do, and all together they are helping me to get myself in the state of harmony (that sounds cheesy :D ), slackline is the actual act if trying to balance, but all the rest just keeps my life in balance, horseback riding makes me feel closer to nature, music closer to myself, and who does not cherish a glass of wine? European Youth Parliament has made my friend circle A LOT bigger and my knowledge about the EU as well.
I am very interested in nature, I do not like coffee, but I love tea, I love live concerts and I love culture, architecture, people and their stories.

Música, películas y libros

Recently my two favorite songs are Wolf Colony - Beauty and Wolf Alice - Freazy. But all in all I like local Latvian bands, I like foreign bands, I like good old songs, jazz, soul, I like funk and electronic and indie.
With movies it is easy, I hate bloody scenes (a bit of blood - okey, fine, but not the whole movie about it) and I hate very scary movies, other than that I can watch Captain Hook and Black Swan, Harry Potter and The Holiday.
I like books as well, but I do not read them, rarely I finish a book and if I finish one - it is most likely written by a Latvian
