About Me
Hi! My name is Esengyeld Khuandag, but since it's a bit tricky to pronounce, you can call me Elio Khuan. I'm from Mongolia, and I’m currently a university student at the University of Trieste, Italy. I’m an easygoing and open-minded person who loves traveling, meeting new people, and experiencing different cultures. I believe the best way to understand a place is through its people, and that's why I love platforms like Couchsurfing.
When I’m not studying or traveling, I enjoy good conversations, trying new foods, and discovering hidden gems in every city I visit. I’m always up for an adventure and love exchanging stories with fellow travelers.
Looking forward to connecting with amazing people around the world!
btw my instagram is @eliokhuan
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because im broke:((( just kidding I’ve always been fascinated by the culture of Couchsurfing—the idea of people from different backgrounds coming together, sharing experiences, and forming genuine connections. I know some say that CS has been losing its original spirit, but I still believe in its core values of hospitality, trust, and cultural exchange.
For me, it’s not just about finding a place to stay—it’s about meeting amazing people, sharing stories, and experiencing places through the eyes of locals. I love the spontaneous adventures and friendships that come from these encounters, and I’m excited to be part of this global community.

Music, Movies, and Books
When it comes to music, I’m a huge fan of jazz, electro, and techno—each genre has its own vibe that I love. Whether it’s the improvisation of jazz, the energy of electro, or the deep rhythms of techno, I’m always up for a great set or a good discussion about music.
In films, my all-time favorite is Dead Poets Society. I also love the surreal and atmospheric works of David Lynch (Blue Velvet) and the visually poetic storytelling of Wong Kar-wai.
For books, I mostly read Charles Bukowski
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
last fall I completely shaved my head and started growing my hair from scratch. It was a bold decision, but it taught me a lot about self-acceptance, change, and confidence. It felt like a fresh start in many ways, and I’m glad I did it
