About Me

Last year, I graduated with a degree in Film Studies from Sorbonne University in Paris.
This year, I decided to leave France — my country, my home, and my family — to explore the world on the road.

With my camera, I travel mostly by hitchhiking, filming the people I meet and the landscapes I pass through along the way. I’m heading toward East Asia, and I’ve decided to make the journey without taking a plane.
If you want to follow my trip, I'm posting on IG: eliotenstop !!
And if you’d like to be part of this adventure, I’d be happy to meet you and spend a night or two at your place!

I love sharing stories over a good meal, discovering new cultures, and learning different ways of living.

For me, traveling is about connection — every encounter, every smile, every shared moment makes the journey meaningful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe that traveling is not just about places, but about people.

I want to meet locals, share stories over a drink, and spend time understanding their countries and their lives.

My journey is all about meeting new people around the world, not just passing through countries to see the touristic parts of a city.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music, but I think my heart could literally melt when I listen to Roads by Portishead.

When someone asks me about my favorite movies, I tend to dive into hours of introspection. But if I had to pick one right now, I’d say A Simple Accident by Jafar Panahi — which won the Palme d’Or in 2025 — or honestly, any of his films. I also really love the cinema of David Lynch and Ingmar Bergman.

As for books, I deeply connect with Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami. I see myself in the main character who decides to go on a journey through Japan — searching for meaning, a bit lost, but curious about the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This journey to East Asia without taking a plane, all by myself, is the most amazing thing I’ve ever done.
I had never really hitchhiked over long distances alone before, and I had never traveled for such a long time in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning from people — about their cultures, daily lives, and personal stories.

I can share my passion for cinema, photography, and storytelling, and I’m always happy to exchange travel experiences or creative ideas.

I’d love to learn new languages, recipes from your country, or any skill you’re passionate about.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook some French meals like crêpes or omelettes! I also know how to cook pastas like italian people ( i'm talking about realll carbonaras)

I always travel with postcards from France and I like to write a short poem or a few lines for you — something to remember the time we spent together.

And you also could me on my movie trip!
