One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once volunteered on a farm run by an ex monk in rural Thailand. I was the only volunteer there, seven little puppies kept me company, while we cooked food in the outdoor kitchen or planted trees to a new field. My room didn't have all the walls either and at night I watched fire flies dance over my bed. I learned so many interesting things about buddhism and meditation, and how to cook fried bananas with rice over fire.
