About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to figure out the midway between temptations and achieving for the long haul, which will probably take me a life time.

ABOUT ME

I am a 24 year-old girl. I study Econometrics in Amsterdam, but don't be scared, I know how to talk to people.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is not what happens to you, but how you deal with it

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

No experiences yet. But I hope there'll be lots of CS-adventures to come, in Amsterdam or elsewhere!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Next week I am having my first CS-experience in Slovakia, really looking forward to it! I am sure it will be amazing!

Interests

I love to play my violin; it is perfect to blow off steam after a busy day, or studying too long. Further I love to dance, any type: jazz, classical, salsa, musical and of course during nightlife exploring! Funsports: windsurfing, snowboarding, skiing, climbing. Sports: ice-skating, running. I really like going to theatre, concerts and many other kinds of culture.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've done is sailing on the 'Stad Amsterdam', a Dutch three-mast fully rigged clipper (sailing boat). We left from Ijmuiden (the Netherlands) to Norway, and from Norway to Germany. The work hours were 4 hours 'up' (work) 4 hours 'down' (pause), so I saw sunsets while hanging 50 metres above the see, and dawn while pulling the lines. We had lots of wind and crazy wheather, sea sickness all over the place (I was lucky), but sun and a quiet see as well. Fantastic!

Teach, Learn, Share

A teacher isn't someone who teaches something, but someone who inspires the student to give of her best in order to discover what she already knows
