Hello! I'm Elisabet, 26 years old from Madrid and currently based on Oxford, UK. I love travelling and discovering different cities all over the world. I've been living in Madrid for 24 years but also studied in Paris and currently working in Oxford.

I am passionate about literature (specially poetry, classical and philosophic essays), arts, music and films! I love meeting new people, discovering bookshops, having a drink (or some), exploring different ways of understanding the world, and getting more new knowledge. I love Europe and its looooong history and amazing culture so you will find me around, just trying to get new points and ideas. I am definitely not that tourist who wants to visit the most popular corners, I would like to explore undiscovered and interesting places that cannot be read in travellers guide.

And... ah, honestly, I am quite bad at cooking so please, if you wanna taste Spanish food, I am definitely not the good one.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One day I was reading a book in a coffee shop about thoughts of Stefan Zweig on Vienna and Berlin and I suddenly thought that it's amazing to explore a city with a local who shares experiences and adventures with you so I decided to meet new people and locals to experience it and this is definitely a nice way of doing so.

In addition, I would like to write and create a project about books, cities and people who live in them so I would like to involve you on it. It all sounds weird but I am really enthusiastic so I think you will like it when explained.

Its is just trying to find people for living not just existing, and share a nice time.

I cannot find favourite books, music and films! It's just impossible to me.
I love culture so I think it all gives to you a new point so I always try to not refuse any kind of artistic expression.

I love literature and authors such as Oscar Wilde, Albert Camus, Jean Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, Dylan Thomas, George Orwell... honestly, I cannot write every of them!
On films, I love Godard, Fellini, Truffaut, Varda and independent films.
Music? Impossible to say but, in general, I love Mumford and Sons, Arcade Fire, Delorentos, Nina Simone, The Beatles... I cannot write them all! I love blues, jazz, rock and indie.... and Irish music!
