Hey there! My Name is Elisabeth and I am from Austria. I Started my solo travels in September17 in South-East Asia. In Australia I Met up with 2 friends from home and We've been travelling together ever since.

Now, a little bit about me - I would describe myself as a very social person, easy-going and flexible. I love meeting new people and spend endless nights just talking and exchanging stories and experiences. It's one of the best things about travelling and opens so many doorways to new friendships, adventures and opportunities. My friends say I am always up for anything. Good ideas, bad ideas (but hey, at the end of the day, bad ideas make the best memories :D), crazy adventures or just a chill night at home - feel free to hit me up! Other than that I'm also a good listener and always have an open ear if somebody needs someone to talk to.

Since travelling is one of my main passions, I obviously also have to work for it - but I'm lucky to be able to have a quite cool variety of side jobs/ summer jobs: last year I started working as a ski instructor in winter and water ski instructor in summer. I absolutely love these jobs especially the part where I drive a motor boat when teaching the kids how to water ski :). Additionally I help out as a waitress in restaurant, hand out flyers or run around in a mascot costume - no matter what. And I do love it, just because there is so much variety in what I do to increase the budget for my next adventure.

I have never tried Couchsurfing before, but I love the idea of staying with locals or other travellers and, again, meeting new people. It's just another experience I would like to gain, because when I have the chance and space in the future, I would also love to host some surfers.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

In December I spent two weeks trekking in the Himalayas, doing the Everest Base Camp Trek. Not being the most athletic person around, it wasn't easy to reach the Kala Patar pass at over 5600m - but even though I thought I was never gonna make it, I did, and standing up there and being surrounded by those gigantic 8k mountains was probably the most amazing thing I have ever felt. Three weeks prior I had a scooter accident in Vietnam, so additionally the combination of the injury and being on antibiotics at the start had me at my limits, but as I already said - no way in hell would I have ever thought I could make it, but against all odds I struggled up there for 2 weeks and killed the beast.

Definitely the most amazing thing I have ever done!
