Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Visiting a new place without meeting the people is a bit empty. When travelling I always seek opportunities to get to know more than just the sights, the buildings and the food-places. I am the kind of person who starts a conversation at the bus stop or on the train. Not everyone is happy and open to this, but I feel that CS gives this opportunity and more.

Interests

I'm genuinely curious about anything new. I enjoy the fact that there is always something new to learn or explore, even in the most familiar places and people.
Spending time with my kids, my family, good friends: time to talk over a cup of something and/or something to eat is pure joy.
I like to walk, both long and short distance, alone or with good company. It's such a good way to see and experience a place.
A good book, a great film, good food, music... there is so much that can make me happy and alive, but the main things is good, interesting people one can connect with.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: depending on mood, feeling like singing or dancing or as background - almost any style (no fan of hard-core), love to sing along more than my kids enjoy it when I do.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think I am lucky. I have seen and done quite a few amazing things (climbed mount Kilimanjaro, went paragliding, I dive, I ski, traveled quite a bit) and there is still more to see, do and learn...

Teach, Learn, Share

Getting to know new people always results in learning new things. I have lived, worked in a few countries, which I believe has made me a better/richer person. I'd love to share and hear stories.
