Ive been encouraged to join the community due to the experience of my brother who lives in London and has often hosted . Having made friends and kept in touch, he has subsequently asked me to give hospitality here in N. Italy so in reality Ive been an unofficial member for a while now. Im recently widowed and my children grown up so Ive discovered how difficult it is to be a single traveller Travel companies and hotels dont like singles. My first tentative steps out in the world alone and the hope of finding friends in my chosen destinations make Couchsurfers a potential Godsend. Heres hoping.

For company. To meet new people. To broaden my horizons. All the usual , possibly banal reasons, they just happen to be true.

兴趣

Developing interests. My adult life was spent bringing up a family and like the majority of the people in the Western world finding myself cash poor and equally time poor so didnt have a lot of time to develop any interests except relaxing on the sofa enough before Mon came around again. However, I love skiing but too expensive, go to the pool at least 3 times a week, cycle a lot and walk when I can. The terrain is very flat around here so not exactly hard work. Reading a lot and an active interest in current affairs could be included.
