Overview
About Me
I’m Lisa, and I love spending time in nature. I especially enjoy being in the mountains—so far, the highest peak I’ve climbed is Point Lenana on Mount Kenya, which was an unforgettable experience.
Living in the south of Austria, I often explore the Julian Alps, including the Slovenian and Italian parts. I also love being around rivers and lakes, and I really enjoy the sea as well.
Good food is very important to me, which is one of the reasons I often travel to Italy—I especially love the cuisine there.
I work at the Museum of the City of Villach, and I also teach yoga. Meditation and mindfulness are an important part of my life, and I enjoy sharing this with others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m a very curious person and genuinely interested in getting to know people from different cultures and walks of life. I love hearing personal stories, sharing experiences, and learning from one another.
Traveling, for me, is not just about seeing new places, but about the connections you make along the way. I would love to travel more in the future, meet wonderful people, and create meaningful memories together.
I really appreciate simple moments—like a good conversation, a shared meal, or spending time in nature.
Music, Movies, and Books
I really like music—different styles like pop, rock, and mantras,.... I also enjoy going to the concert hall; for example, I recently listened to the Salzburg Philharmonic and loved to listen live!
Right now, I like Xavier Rudd, Krishna Das, and when I teach yoga, I play Gaiea Sanskrit – Maha Kali. I also like Max Richter, Nirinjan Kaur, Enya, Asaf Avidan, and many more...
I do not watch a lot of movies anymore, but one of my favorite movies was and isThe Matrix, Dead Man, Fight Club. I also like the Marvel movies, Men in Black, The Lord of the Rings, Dune, and so on..
my favourite book: Kafka am Strand
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’ve visited Africa several times, which has left a strong impression on me. After hiking Point Lenana on Mount Kenya, I returned one year later for a yoga retreat—I simply fell in love with the place and its unique energy.
Teach, Learn, Share
I’m a curious person and I never stop learning. For example, last year I started training in body-oriented psychotherapy, and soon I’ll learn how to lay tiles—I really enjoy trying new things.
I love listening to people and their life stories, and I believe we can all learn from each other.
