Dear nomads,

My name is Eli. Born and raised in France, I have been solo traveling the world from the age of 18 and kept going full time after I finished my studies. I am currently a novel writer, a French teacher, and a diver. I spent the last two years of my life exploring the South Pacific islands and ended up getting stuck in Fiji during the COVID pandemic (which gave me a lot of stories to share!), and since I just brought the topic, please allow me to mention: yes, I am vaccinated (:

I also have acting experience on stage, I am a huge cinema enthusiast, art drives me crazy; I am fascinated by space, science & all sorts of theories on our existence. I love adventures, adrenaline, learning new languages, enjoying a deep connection with new souls. And so much more... I'd say that my interests are endless, it all depends on the way topics are brought up to me.

*Disclaimer*: You might notice that I have three negative reviews and it's totally understandable if it worries you. Two of them come from people whom I haven't even stayed with (they accepted my stay request, I forgot to cancel it, yet we've eventually never met). The most recent one comes from probably my worst encounter on CS, which I'd be delighted to tell you about. I'd like to think that these reviews don't define me as a CS member and I hope you'll give me the chance to show you that if we meet :)

I have a huge interest in mind-bending movies with plot twists (Old Boy, Interstellar, Arrival, Seven, Incendies...), romantic movies that explore the depth of connection between souls (Her, Before Sunrise, iOrigins, Equals...) and fantasy franchises that I grew up with (Harry Potter, Narnia...)
I enjoy particularly the work of Villeneuve, Nolan, Makoto Shinkai.

I am also very much into deep and well-constructed TV shows (Breaking Bad, GOT, Squid Game, Black Mirror, Stranger Things...) and also into less intense ones (Never have I ever, Crash Landing on You, Big Little Lies...).

● Seeing Northern lights in Finland on 31th december at 00AM, for New Years Eve.

● Hitchhiking for 2500kms in India from Pondicherry to New Delhi in only five days.

● Sailing among the icebergs on a Zodiac to observe whales in Iceland.

● Singing one of my favorite US rap song in an air balloon with the pilot, flying over Nubia, Egypt, at 6AM.
