Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a great way to meet people and make friends. I like the feeling of community that Couchsurfing has to offer. I enjoy traveling alone, but I also like that Couchsurfing allows you to meet locals and get a bit of a taste of the local life and experience.

One of the main ways I have made Spanish friends in Madrid is through language exchanges, which I think are quite similar to meeting people via Couchsurfing.

Music I love so many different genres and artists.
I'm a Netflix enthusiast. Some of my favorite Netflix shows are: Grace and Frankie, The OA, Sense8, Casa de papel, Love, Jessica Jones, Club de Cuervos, and many more!
One of my favorite movies is Life of Pi.
Favorite books: The Alchemist. Tiny, Beautiful Things. What I Was Doing While You Were Breeding.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I would say the most amazing thing I've done was move to Spain for a year as an Au pair. It's definitely not the easiest thing to do, especially for a small town girl from Wyoming!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love languages and have worked as a Spanish tutor for many years and also taught English classes in Spain. I love teaching, learning, and sharing just about anything I can. :)
Currently, I work as a graduate Spanish instructor at UNM.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my good sense of humor, my English and Spanish, my knowledge of American culture and anywhere else I've traveled. I've now lived in Spain four different times, and have been lucky enough to travel to many cities here and love sharing any knowledge I have about Spain, so if that's something you're interested in, I'm your girl!
