Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was in Seoul, South Korea, from February to August 2011. During this period, I travelled through Korea and helped hosting couchsurfers along with my then-boyfriend Jim.

Since then, I participated in a few Couchsurfing parties in Paris... and met friends there.

I was back in Korea in the summer of 2015 and met with a fantastic host!

Now living in Paris, I'm up to meet travellers with whom I'd love to share my favorite parisian spots.

I really dislike that kind of lists so here are my latest favorites or 'coups de coeur' en Français. I discovered Zadie Smith's books last year, and loved them! We don't hear much about her novels in France, but I assume that anglophones know her better. If you like contemporary litterature, give it a try! Most of the music I hear comes from the playlists of the French radio NOVa (you can listen to it online). Good music and good remixes. My Today's song is Hustlin' s remix by Prince of Ballard. And movies... aoutch. What can I say ? I'm hooked on cinema. I love 90's korean cinema and asian cinema in general. To speak about american cinema, I must say I've been really impressed by The Road (from the McCarthy novel) and The Ghostwriter (R. Polanski) lately.

I've been listening to traditional music from around the world, and a lot of early reggae / rocksteady. I still love cinema, whatever W. Herzog makes, asian cinema from the 90's mostly, new auteurs from Europe and South America. I am not reading much.
