Overview
About Me
Hey, I’m Eliza traveling with my partner Essam. We’re starting a long term travel adventure here in Turkey, no plan, no time limit, just going with the flow and seeing where life takes us.
Originally from California, I've spent the last five years living in Amman, Jordan and Seattle, USA, traveling as much as I can and enjoying the nature both places have to offer. I love slow travel, and am happiest enjoying a mid-afternoon tea in the shade of a forest, a cold beer on the beach with the sunset, or good food and late-night conversation with open-minded people. I love hiking, camping, backpacking, road trips, etc., and I'm always up for a last minute adventure.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm always impressed by the people I meet on CS, as a traveler as well as a local. I've stayed with amazing hosts in Oman, Mexico, and India, and made lasting connections with other couchsurfers I never would have met in my own city. I love meeting people who are passionate about life, up for adventure, and seeking the unexpected. As an anti-capitalist, I also appreciate the emphasis on sharing, community, and authentic connection.
Interests
Languages, traveling, food, chatting on balconies, getting lost. Any and all activities by the sea--watching the sunset, paddle boarding, swimming, scuba diving, floating, nearly freezing.... you name it.
