Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Me and my husband have taken a sabbatical and are travelling for a year. We have seen some beautiful places and met the most incredible, kind people and we are looking to meet more lovely new people.

Intereses

We love the outdoors and going for hikes in nature. We love scuba diving, playing music, reading, watching movies, meeting new people, playing board games and so much more. It’s hard to condense into a few short lines, so I hope we get to meet you.

Música, películas y libros

Absolutely love Bob Marley, Harry Potter is a classic, but I love reading in general - currently reading Shantaram. Parent Trap, Into the Wild and Hunt for the Wilderpeople are some of my favourite movies! I also love a good crime drama so when I’m at home in the cold UK you’ll often find me tucked up on the sofa watching a series.

Climbed Mount Rinjani and reached the summit. My favourite thing I’ve done though is when we took in a Ukrainian family escaping the war in their country. They became like family to me. The mother taught me traditional home-cooked recipes, and treated me like her daughter. It was an incredibly beautiful experience and one I’ll treasure forever.

I used to work as an outdoor instructor and would be happy to introduce you to the outdoor world. I used to teach climbing, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing and windsurfing.

I also love cooking with people and exchanging recipes that I can take home and cherish.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I can cook and I am happy to help out with the cleaning or anything they need. My husband is very good at gardening and is an engineer by trade so he can also help out around the house. Both of us are good with children, we like being in the outdoors and just generally meeting new people. We have also both grown up with animals so would be very happy to help walk or look after pets.
