Overview
About Me
Although I grew up on one place, I've had the good fortune to branch out since then. My world opened up when Mom sent me to France during college. Later I became a successful visual and performance (think Laurie Anderson) artist in my 20s to late 30s. Late 30s and 40s found me formng a beautiful family and living in Paris (France), New Hampshire (USA) and on the south island of New Zealand. All the while I developed new languages including human ones such as French, Italian and Swahili as well as learning to speak the language of horses, elephants and other non-humans.
My passion now is learning everything I can from interactions with non-humans. I love to hear stories from other people about their magical experiences with the various life forms around them, and I'd love to hear yours! I travel with a companion dog named Bentley, who is a toy Yorkshire Terrier weighing 5 1/2 - 6 pounds. Bentley makes friends where ever we go.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Bentley and I are on a cross-country automobile trip. Although we sometimes stay in hotels, I also love the
generous notion of people opening their homes to us. I love what little I know of the Couchsurfing community and look forward to learning more.

Music, Movies, and Books
My current favorite music: Future, Drake, Cardi B, H.E.R., Kehlani, Frank Ocean, Kodak Black, Post Malone. Books I'm reading now: Soul of an Octopus by Sy Montgomery; The Whale by Philip Hoare, Deep by James Nestor.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My first child was born breach, drug free, and at home. His sister came along two years later, also born drug free at home. That two things.
Teach, Learn, Share
I just started to learn to box and I love it. I love to learn new things, and difficulty doesn't scare me in fact it makes it more fun. I'm learning some healing techniques, and finding out it goes both ways. Yoga just keeps getting harder and more engaging. My best teachers of all though are non-human - - a Thoroughbred horse named Ginger, an elephant named Nkarsis, a tree I call my friend.
As mentioned elsewhere, I love to tell stories about what I have learned from non-humans and I love to collect similar stories from other people. We have all had magical experiences, even if we keep them secret. It's time to share.
What I Can Share with Hosts
It's not easy to say if I am an extrovert or an introvert. Every day I need time to myself. But I enjoy meeting new people, and hearing what they have to say. I still have so much to learn! Although I am new to couchsurfing, I hope you will consider hosting me and my tiny dog Bentley in what ever circumstance you offer.
