Hey everyone! My name is Elizabeth and I just turned 20! Last year, my dad planted the seed in my mind that bloomed into the idea of running a half marathon in every state. Knowing that this will only get harder as time goes on (age, work, etc.) I want to get as many out of the way this summer as I can! Instead of just running somewhere and coming back home, I want to experience life in new places. Couchsurfing just seems like the COOLEST way to travel. Not only is it cheaper, but imagine the crazy cool stories you get to hear and share when you meet people that you wouldn't have met otherwise. How awesome.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a junior in college with a craving for travel and a bank account that says no. I have a goal of running a half marathon in every state and when I travel, I want to experience so much more than just running in a race and coming back home.

Interests

I really want to experience the world, but why not start with my own country? Going to Germany last summer ignited an interest I didn't even know I had and I can't wait to explore it. I really would like to look into really cool, themed halfs. While traveling, I want to get a little taste and look into what the area I'm in is known for and like. I'm a photographer as well so I LOVE cool scenery.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So far, I've run half marathons in Ohio (my home state), Illinois, and Minnesota. I've already signed up for another in Indiana in May!
